This past season has been another fast and furious one! With short sales mainly a thing of the past, both re-sales and new construction are up roughly 25% over last year in Lely Resort. At the most recent real estate summit of the Naples Board of Realtors, Florida Realtors chief economist, John Tuccillo, predicted home sales will grow statewide approximately 10% year over year in the near future. Home values should rise about 4.5 annually. On a local level, price growth and inventory vary according to location and neighborhood. Cindy Carroll, a Naples-based real estate appraiser, expects long-term appreciation in our area of approximately 6% in most neighborhoods. With an increase in demand comes an increase in price!
