Besides pricing your property correctly, it’s important to take an objective look at what you want to present to potential Buyers. Take emotion out of the equation, put on some de-cluttering music, and start to prepare your home to sell! All your family pictures are sentimental, but not for your new owners. It’s best to store them to get ready for the move. All closets need to be neat, towels folded and all extra linens, blankets, pillows, etc. stored. This includes extra toiletries. Showing extra space is the goal here. Clothes closets also need to be sized down and extra shoes stored. Decorative items do enhance a living space, but less is more here. Store some and create extra wall space to help the new Buyers imagine their special items there. If there are extra furniture pieces that can be moved or stored to create more space, do it!
